Strategies to work on checking our understanding while we read

Hope everyone had a great holiday break! This week we have continued to read like news reporters. Some of us took our articles that we had brought home over the break and recorded ourselves reading them. This way we were able to see where we improved in our reading and what we need to work on. Today we reflected on our fluency checklist and talked about what parts we feel we need to work on, it was a really great self reflection! Just a reminder that we are sharing all of the videos of us reading in class everyday, if you could help me out at home to do this that would be great! It works best if you e mail them as IRIS hasnt been working so far.
