Updates on Literacy and Math
Literacy this week:
This week in literacy we've been focusing on connections. The two we've been focusing on are Text to Self and Text to Text. We read a story called Ellie's garden and worked within a group to discuss and write down together what are connections were. With Text to Text, we learned it did not only have to be a book that we made the connection with, but also a movie, magazine, TV Show, and more.
Math this Week:
In math this week we worked on a word problem called the Candy Conundrum. We worked through our CUBES strategy to solve the problem.

Next, we worked on the other strategies we can use to Solve and Check a word problem. One of the ones we worked on this week was triangle math.
